Homeworking means fewer kilometers in the car or public transport and a more comfortable standard of living.<\/p>

  1. Renovations reduce taxes<\/strong>: It is interesting to know that any renovations you do are deductible from your income tax in Switzerland. The expenditure needs to be conserving the value (upkeep) of your house.<\/li>
  2. Lump-Sum deduction<\/strong>: use this wisely. Depending on the tax period and property, you can choose effective and lump-sum maintenance deductions.<\/li>
  3. Spreading out major renovations: <\/strong>across phases or execute them over multiple years<\/li>
  4. Invoice planning:<\/strong> each canton has its own rules about assigning costs to which time period.<\/li>
  5. Gardener, painter expenses<\/strong><\/li>
  6. Solar panels<\/strong>: the installation of solar panels and thermal solar heating are deductible as energy-saving measures<\/li><\/ol>
